Press Release: Sensitization meeting Women Entrepreneurs

Community Building Mitrovica on 25^th of May organized two Sensitization meetings in Mitrovica (North and South), within the project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a”.

Sensitization meetings were held at Cultural Centre in south and at EU Info Point in north, where more than 80 women together participated. The aim of this Sensitization Meetings was to present objectives of the project, project approach to major topics on increase women employment and main activities which will be implemented in order to raise women involvement in business activity within the project. On the Sensitization Meetings present were also representatives of Municipality Mitrovica South, Regional Development Agency North, Kosovo Business Alliance and other stakeholders where they presented all relevant information to the women participants.

Project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a” is funded by European Union Office in Kosovo, co-financed by Mitrovica south Municipality and MOTT Fundation. This project is implemented by Community Building Mitrovica in partnership with D&G Solutions. 

Main objective of the project is to contribute sustainable economic and social improvement of North & South Mitrovica through inclusion of women in private sector development, through establishment of supporting business environment for women start-up entrepreneurs in North & South Mitrovicë/a. Main activities of the project are addressed to improvement of capacities of women to successfully establish and run their own businesses, provision of sub-grants for product/service development of women start-up entrepreneurs in North and South Mitrovicë/a and development of mechanism for provision of sustainable support to women entrepreneurs in North and South Mitrovicë/a through mentoring, consultancy and support over web platform.
