Community Building Mitrovica (CBM) with the support from the GCERF is aiming to contribute to a more motivating and engaging environment for youth, through vocational trainings, employability programs, and opportunities for youth to productive engages in their community. The projectBuilding strong and resilient communities in Mitrovica”provides an opportunity to increased community engagement by creating a network of relatable role models closest to the population groups, such as parents, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders and peers, who have the opportunity to act as change agents and influence the population groups’ behavior, attitudes, and actions.

People who are creative, adaptive, and attentive to new social media features and trends make excellent social media interns. During your social media internship, you’ll likely work withprofessional team and become familiar with commonly used content management tools; learn to communicate with the general population and target niche audience using a unique voice.

Social media intern key duties:

  • Assist with streamlining organization social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube), ensuring uniform content, graphics, and other elements within the communities.
  •  Increase the number of followers we have on Facebook and Twitter by following and engaging with target people of “Community Building Mitrovica” projects.
  • Monitoring and responding to Facebook and Twitter messages from people (initially under supervision from a Project manager)
  • Prepares and writes articles for social networks
  • Posting Tweets and posting in Facebook (both job- and project-related);
  • Posting updates to the organizations webpage account (initially under supervision from a Project Manager)
  •  Posting updates to the CBMFacebook and twitter account (under supervision from a Project Manager)
  • Establish program social media pages and update those with information on the program;
  • Work with staff members to implement other channel-specific campaigns (e.g. uploading photos videos to YouTube, etc)
  • Work with the project manager to build monthly reporting tools on social media analytics and performance against our ‘baseline targets.’
  • Social Media Intern will be engaged until 28 February 2021

Application Requirements:

  • Extensive working experience in social media campaigns;
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism;
  • Has analytical skills,
  • Able to work independently and responsibly under pressure, and as a member of broad and diverse teams
  • Professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Recognized academic degree, preferably in a relevant field
  • Fluency in English and Albanian; knowing Serbian is an asset
  • Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy.
