For attending the one-semester course: "Support to Transition Justice"- 7th Cycle.

Through this announcement, the University of Pristina "Hasan Prishtina" - Faculty of Law and Community Building Mitrovica (CBM) with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina, invite all students to apply for participation in the course "Support to Transitional Justice".

The announcement is for all interested students and the course will last one semester.

The course’s goal is to integrate the Transitional Justice and Peace Building in Kosovo's Higher Education, a special contribution to peace and reconciliation. This program will enable students’ education in the transitional justice system as one of the ways to contribute towards peacebuilding.

The program introduces the topic of support for transitional justice and peacebuilding in higher education. The program also builds confidence and enhances the knowledge of Kosovo students in general and of all other actors in this field, including minorities on "Addressing the Past and Building Peace".

The program also serves as a basis for university activities leading to the development of transitional justice programs at the University of Prishtina.

The expected result is that participants in this course will:

• Build confidence and enhance deeper knowledge in understanding and arguing justice for all students including minority institutions and other related actors;

• Be able to work on improving understanding of the concept of transitional justice;

• Acquire knowledge and skills to actively and positively participate in transitional justice and peace-building processes;

• Gain in-depth knowledge of the different cases of countries that have gone through the process of transitional justice at the regional and international level;

• Be able to transfer knowledge and skills acquired in their personal and professional environment;

After completing the lectures, students will enter the final exam to test the knowledge gained from this course or write an essay on a selected theme related to the thematic units of transitional justice processed throughout the course.

All attendees who will fulfill their obligations will be acknowledged with a Certificate of Participation issued by the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, a project supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina.

The number of participants is limited. This course will be attended by 50 participants (maximum), selected on the basis of the evidence presented by the applicants, with particular care to be taken for the acceptance of participants with proportional representation of gender as well as members of different ethnic communities.

This activity was initiated by the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" - Faculty of Law and is being implemented in partnership with CBM NGO in Kosovo. The project is funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina.

The course will be conducted in Albanian and English and it is free of charge.
