CBM presents its new EU funded project “My Need, My Decision"


On 6th of February, Community Building Mitrovica (CBM) will participate in the event organized by European Union Office in Kosovo. The EU Office in Kosovo is launching new projects under the Civil Society Facility 2012-2013 and the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights 2012 grant scheme.

CBM will have the chance to present the newsiest project “My Need, My Decision- Civil society is watching you: demand for accountability and transparency on local level”, funded by European Commission under the Civil Society Facility program and implemented by CBM in partnership with CRYM Coalition. The overall objective of MNMD project is to contribute towards increase of responsiveness, accountability and transparency of local institutions through active participation of civil society. CBM will establish a model for ‘watchdog’ role of civil society in holding local institutions accountable and transparent.

In this launch event, a total of 14 new projects addressing issues of good governance, dialogue between government and civil society, promotion of culture and human rights to be implemented during the next two years will inform the public about their activities.

The Technical Assistance for Civil Society Organisation office, another EU funded project to support civil society in Kosovo, will present the key findings and recommendations of a recently conducted Needs Assessment report.
