COMMUNITY BUILDING MITROVICA AND YIHR KS SIGN MOU WITH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE INFORMATION SHARING AND EDUCATION ABOUT JUSTICE
Community Building Mitrovica and Youth Initiative For Human Rights - Kosovo signed a memorandum of understanding with Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the implementation of the program ‘Demand for Justice’ in high schools in the regions of Pristina, Prizren, Peja and Mitrovica.
This agreement was reached with the purpose of organizing interactive justice sector lectures including information focused on legal rights, access to justice and public accountability. The signing parties expressed their commitment to cooperate within the scope of their responsibilities for the achievement of the program goals.
The overall project aim is to increase access to justice through joint activities of all communities. Thus the project is designed to educate young people on their rights and the possibilities to exercise these rights within the existing legal justice system.
The Demand for Justice Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State/INL and implemented by the National Center for State Courts to support the development of robust, evidence-driven demand for justice in Kosovo. In Mitrovica region, this program is implemented by Community Building Mitrovica and AKTIV.
