50 BUSINESS WOMEN FROM NORTH AND SOUTH MITROVICA PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

On 22^nd of November, 2016 - 50 participants of the project ‘’Supportive Business Environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovica’’ had the opportunity to promote their products and services in the Fair ‘’Women in business – Mitrovica, 2016’’.

 

This event was organized by Community Building Mitrovica in partnership with D&G Solutions, and took place in the main square in Mitrovica South. The fair was attended by representatives of national and local institutions, donors, representatives of local and international organizations, and media.

In his note to the audience, Deputy Mayor of Mitrovica South Municipality Safet Kamberi expressed his excitement on the success of the project, that as he said ‘’mobilized all these women with capacities and resources on joining the labor market in Mitrovica with their businesses, empowered more women to start businesses and increased the number of women employees’’.

In the fair - 50 women part of the ‘’women start-ups’’ project from North and South Mitrovica, from them 33 grantees and 17 women participants presented their businesses, exchanged contacts with new costumers and provided them with information regarding the products and services they offer.

‘’Women start-ups’’ project coordinator – Kenan Beqiri said that one of the project aims is to connect and build relationships between women coming from North and South Mitrovica which further on contributes to the reconciliation and peacebuilding efforts, and ‘’for sure this fair is yet another great platform offered within the project for these women to show their services, products and share with each-other’’, - concluded Mr. Beqiri.

The fair lasted for one day, and served as a productive event for ‘’women start-ups’’ project participants to attract customers and create new business contacts.

Fair 'Women in business – Mitrovica, 2016' was organized within the project "Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a", and is an EU-funded project managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo, co-funded by Mitrovica South Municipality and MOTT Foundation. This project is implemented by Community Building Mitrovica in partnership with D&G Solutions.
