CBM DELIVERS TRAININGS FOR CSO’S FROM MITROVICA NORTH AND SOUTH


From the 3rd-4th of May, CBM organised a training session focused on municipal revenue, budgeting and expenditure, which was held in Pristina. The session, which brought together 17 civil society organisations that are members of CBM’s MRMT (Mitrovica Region Monitoring Team) network, was led by the GAP Institute. Attendees learned about how the budget is created and distributed. They also gained an insight into how tools can be used to track the municipal budget.

Whilst the second training session with civil society representatives from North and South Mitrovica was held from the 17-18 of May, and was focused on lobbying and advocacy. The training enabled the participating CSO representatives to learn about the design, mobilisation and deployment of lobbying strategies, gaining an insight into how influence can be most effectively exerted.

These training sessions were organized on aiming to improve the organizational capacities of the participating CSO, and were executed under the Inclusive Development Programme. A programme jointly delivered by CBM, PAX and UN-HABITAT, and supported by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Government of Kosovo.
