CIVIL SOCIETY IN MITROVICA MEETS MS. FEDERICA MOGHERINI

Community Building Mitrovica Executive Director, Ms. Aferdita Sylaj Shehu with other representatives of the civil society organizations in Mitrovica met with the High Representative of the European Union and Vice-President of the European Commission Ms.Federica Mogherini within her visit in Kosovo.

In the brief encounter with the EU Foreign Policy chief, Ms. Sylaj Shehu required greater attention of the European Union towards Mitrovica. CBM’s director expressed to Ms. Mogherini that with the support of the EU, the situation in the still fragile city of Mitrovica is slightly moving forward.

The EU high representative declared her appreciation for the work of civil society sector in Mitrovica, as she said ‘’ the dialogue that local Civil Societies doing is much more important than the dialogue I am facilitating.’’
