INFO SESSION – EUROPEAN UNION IN ONE DAY

Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) and Community Building Mitrovica (CBM), through their project for Kosovo Resource Center for Civil Society, invites you to:

First Info Session with the topic “European Union in One Day” more than 5 years from the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) where Mr. Demush Shaha, Executive Director of EPIK Institute will provide you with information regarding:

  • The role and importance of the Stabilization and Association Agreement;
  • Approximation of Kosovo with EU based on the SAA requirements;
  • Ten concrete requirements of the SAA which have not been completed yet;
  • Lessons to be learned from the implementation of the SAA;
  • Role of Civil Society Organizations in the process of implementing the SAA;
  • How can Civil Society participate in the implementation of the SAA;
  • Role and importance of the European Reform Agenda in the integration process;
  • How can Civil Society participate in the implementation of ERA.

The info session is open for participation to all civil society organizations as well as all citizens active in Kosovo, who are interested in expanding their knowledge about the European Union. In addition to presenting the above points, participants will be able to ask questions and discuss with lecturer Demush Shala.

Demush Shasha has 13 years of experience in public service in the field of European integration. He has served for seven years as Secretary General in the Ministry of European Integration of Kosovo. During his term, he oversaw the negotiations for a Stabilization and Association Agreement between Kosovo and the EU and the fulfillment of the criteria stemming from the roadmap for visa liberalization. During his term he has served with three different prime ministers and five ministers. After his work in the Government, Demush has established the European Policy Institute in Kosovo (EPIK). Under his leadership, the EPIK Institute was established as the main authority in the field of European integration.
