Info-session regarding mentors platform

Community Building Mitrovica organized info session between the contracted mentoring company ‘’KO-Plan’’ and Women Start-Ups project participants regarding mentors platform. This activity with project participants was held at the Regional Development Agency premises and EU-info point.

‘’Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a’’ Project Coordinator Mr.Kenan Beqiri and ‘’KO-Plan’’ representative Mr.Florent Bajrami informed the participants for the organization and structure of mentors platform. Namely in order to respond to the needs of participants that don’t have experience in business plan writing, CBM has foreseen that one part of mentoring will take place before the final submission of business plan (May 18, 2016), while additional part of the mentoring will take place also after the project participants gain the grants.

‘’Project participants in order to become eligible for mentorship before the grant award, they have to submit their drafted version of their respective business plans until May 10, 2016, as for the remained days until the deadline they will get the support of the mentors depending from the business idea in order to finalize their business plan in best possible way’’ – said Mr.Bajrami.

Mentors will support and mentor women participants of the project with remarks and corrections on their business plans without having any influence on their initial ideas for business. 
Grantees will be awarded with work equipment and material starting from 2.500 to 7.500 Euro. During this activity the certificates for the women that missed the certification ceremony were handed. Mentor platform aims to establish relation among mentors, and women start-ups mostly peer-to-peer consultancy in specific sectors. The role of CBM and KO-Plan will be to facilitate the process of matching between mentors and women start-ups/entrepreneurs, carefully guiding and monitoring the process.
