ZVECAN, LEPOSAVIC AND ZUBIN POTOK MUNICIPALITIES OFFICIALLY EMBARKED IN THE INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME!


On Thursday, 26th January 2017, in two northern municipalities Memorandum’s of Understanding were signed with Municipality of Zvecan, respectively Municipality of Leposavic –within the programme "Fostering inclusive development and good governance in northern Kosovo".

The signing of a third Memorandum of Understanding took place on Tuesday, 2nd February 2017, with the Deputy Mayor of Zubin Potok - Mr. Srdjan Vucinic, on behalf of the Mayor of Zubin Potok. All ceremonies took place in respective Mayors' offices with the participation of the programme partner’s organization - Community Building Mitrovica, PAX and UN-HABITAT.

This milestone establishes formal cooperation between the parties and municipal planning teams. The programme will particularly look at inclusive development and good governance through planned and conflict-sensitive development, with communities integrated at all stages of planning and implementation and within a framework of effective inter-municipal cooperation and multi-level governance.

The Inclusive Development Programme is a four-year programme aimed at fostering good governance and inclusive development in northern Kosovo, and is co-financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Government of Kosovo.
