CBM organized the first meeting within Women Start-Ups mentors’ platform

Today in the premises of Community Building Mitrovica was held the first meeting between contracted company ‘’KO-Plan’’ and women mentors in the framework of the project ‘’Supportive women environment for women start-ups in South and North Mitrovica’’. The meeting started with the introduction and presentation of the Women Start-Ups project, women mentors and above mentioned company.

The aim of this activity was to discuss for the working ways of ‘’KO-Plan’’, mentors and mentees regarding mentorship platform. Namely it was discussed over the mechanism of the platform and the work principles in order to respond the the needs of the participants of the project that aim to apply for grants. Mentors are experienced businesswomen from the economic and entrepreneurship field. While in this meeting they agreed to cooperate and share their knowledge in order to offer to the mentees the best support throughout mentoring process.

Mentors platform aims to establish relations between mentors and women start-ups, most usually in form of direct peer-to-peer consultancy in specific sectors. The role of  CBM and KO-Plan will be to facilitate the process of matching between mentors and women start-ups/entrepreneurs, carefully guiding and monitoring the process.

For reasons of technical innovations and satisfying the expressed needs of women entrepreneurs, a web portal will be launched that will facilitate the communication between women mentors and women start-up entrepreneurs.

The deadline to apply for grants for women that were part of the Women Start-Ups project is May 18, 2016.

Project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a” is funded by European Union Office in Kosovo, co-financed by Mitrovica south Municipality and MOTT Foundation. This project is implemented by Community Building Mitrovica in partnership with D&G Solutions.
