STRENGTHENING THE ROLE OF YOUTH ON DIALOGUE AND COOPERATION

From 4 to 12 March, 20 participants nationals of France, Germany, Kosovo and Serbia attended the third workshop organized in Serbia and Kosovo as part of the program ‘’Dialogue Across Borders - Overcoming Borders through European Integration’’.

This program consisted on a series of 3 workshops, as the two first parts were organized in Germany and France, and targeted youth who are interested on international communication, mass media and on solving issues regarding dialogue between communities, countries and European organisations.

In the third phase of the seminar the participants immersed into the specific context of the European dialogue fostered between Kosovo and Serbia. Thus the programme included meetings with representatives of the governments, non-governmental organisations, international organisations and other actors involved in the dialogue processes. Thus it continued to provide to the participants a platform for exchanging experiences and joint reflections on how and where they will engage in dialogue and communication on European integration in the future.

The program “Dialogue Across Borders: Overcoming Borders through European Integration” is an innovative format of an intercultural laboratorium to foster an understanding of dialogue, to enable participants to conceptualize dialogue process and to practice and experiment inclusive methods of outreach and communication.

Partner organizations in the implementation of this program were: Community Building Mitrovica, YIHR – Serbia, Altea France, and CIFE, while supported by the French-German Youth Office (OFAJ).
