CBM granted 33 – participants of the ‘’women start-ups’’ project

In the framework of the project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a”, Community Building Mitrovica and D&G Solutions granted 33 – women from Mitrovica South and North on the total amount of sub-grants 112,500.00 Euro. The Grant Awarding Ceremony was held in the premises of Regional Development Agency North in South Mitrovica.

Over 100 participants from different ethnic communities from North and South Mitrovica, rural and urban areas have received training modules and were certified on Marketing and Sales, Financial Management, Business Planning and Mobilization of Funds noted Project Coordinator Mr.Kenan Beqiri. ‘’From 33 awarded grantees 75% are newly registered businesses, while the rest are businesses established no later than two years ago’’ – said Mr.Beqiri.

In his addressing to the audience Mayor of the Mitrovica South Municipality Mr.Agim Bahtiri thanked CBM for the initiation of different projects that continuously aim to empower communities living in North and South Mitrovica.

Fatmire Musa and Olga Ilić, two awarded grantees had also the opportunity to address the audience regarding their experience within the project, while they both expressed their gratitude towards CBM and D&G Solutions for enhancing their business and entrepreneurship skills and broadening their path in order to become economically independent. In this conference, the women beneficiaries officially received grant awarding certificates.

Within the project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a” over 100 women have been trained on various business and entrepreneurship fields, more than 50 of them have received consultancy from women mentors in terms of mentoring on writing business plans and time management, during this period women have created Women Network in Business while launching of Web Platform helped additionally to facilitate communication between women mentors and women start-ups entrepreneurs in South and North Mitrovica.

Project “Supportive business environment for women start-ups in North and South Mitrovicë/a” is funded by European Union Office in Kosovo through EU Regional Development Programme and co-funded by Mitrovica South Municipality and MOTT Foundation. This project is implemented by Community Building Mitrovica in partnership with D&G Solutions.
