Civic Education School on Intercultural Dialogue and Countering Hate Speech

The 'Civic Education School' was implemented simultaneously last Saturday in: Mitrovica South, Mitrovica North, and Prishtina.

More than 60 youngsters from different ethnic backgrounds are involved in this journey, by exchanging personal experiences, perspectives, and innovative ideas, resulting in a deeper understanding of the challenges our society faces. Throughout the sessions and activities, participants engaged in discussions with a particular focus on the topics of "Intercultural Dialogue" and "Countering Hate Speech".

This edition of the Civic Education School is implemented within the framework of the regional initiative "Youth for Inclusion, equality and trust", and is implemented by #CBM, in partnership with Domovik and the Kosovo Youth Assembly.

About the Program: Civic Education School is a unique opportunity for youngsters age 15 to 21 to develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the realm of civic education. Through a series of interactive workshops, engaging discussions, and hands-on activities, participants gain understanding of democratic principles, intercultural tolerance, peacebuilding, social justice, gender equality, critical thinking and  effective advocacy. 
Students who complete Civic Education School are provided with the exclusive opportunity to partake in bootcamps and become Young Peace Ambassadors. This esteemed position offers them the privilege of engaging in constructive dialogues regarding peacebuilding with esteemed government officials and policymakers. Moreover, they have the unique advantage of receiving firsthand education on lobbying strategies directly from experienced lobbyists coming from Washington D.C.
